Mid-Summer Updates & Important Information

Our Soundview campers are enjoying one of many field trips. This one was to the beach!

One more thing…
On July 19th, 1799 the Rosetta Stone was discovered by French officer Pierre-François Bouchard, during Napoleon Bonaparte's Egyptian campaign. The stone was found while digging the foundations of a fort addition near the town of Rashid (Rosetta) in the Nile Delta, where it had been built into an ancient wall. The black basalt slab is inscribed with ancient writing that has been key to deciphering ancient Egyptian scripts. You can learn more about this HERE.
