Florence Nightingale's Birthday AND a Great Big Welcome to Our New Teacher, TomiJo McCarrier!

Florence Nightingale, who founded trained nursing as a profession for women

Dear Soundview Family,

The sun’s out at Soundview! Let’s have some fun with this great weather, but remember to be safe with all of this heat.

Check out our Soundview Summer Camp and register today. We have a great selection for the summer. Check it out HERE.

Come together for the Soundview Spring Social hosted by our Soundview Parent Guardian Association. It’s happening Sunday, June 11, from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM at Meadowdale Park. The address is 5700 168th St SW, Lynnwood, WA 98037. Lots of fun and free parking.

Mark your calendars for the Middle Years Declamations on Thursday, May 25, from 4:00 to 5:30 PM in the Soundview Performing Arts Center. Parking will be available after 3:45 PM. Declamations is a fully student-produced live variety show performance. It’s a longstanding Soundview tradition where our students show off their great talent.

Please welcome TomiJo McCarrier to Soundview. She will join McKenna Kelly as a third- and -fourth grade teacher next year. TomiJo will join us on campus starting next week and for the remainder of the school year. TomiJo earned a bachelor's degree from Northern Arizona University and a master’s degree with a teaching certificate from Seattle Pacific University. Most recently, TomiJo taught fourth-grade at Lake Forest Park Elementary. Her experience includes fifteen years as Community Recreational Coordinator for City of Seattle, designing programming, developing key community partners, and removing barriers to services for historically underrepresented and under-resourced communities.

Stay cool,
