I've been teaching science, design, and occasionally math at Soundview School since 2010. I did my graduate work at Rutgers University, where I studied microbial degradation of petroleum contaminants in soils. In the classroom, students call me Mr. Fleming. In my free time I enjoy all manner of tabletop games, playing guitar, cooking and making fermented foods, and word puzzles. Incorporating my interests into my units and sharing them with students is one of my favorite things about Soundview, and I love seeing students bring their enthusiasm and creativity to the work we do together.
