There is a lot to look forward to at Soundview this spring!

April 29, 2022

Dear Soundview Family,

There is a lot to look forward to at Soundview this spring! We need to meet our fundraising goal, appreciate our teachers, welcome International Baccalaureate educators to Soundview, and enjoy our students’ performances and culminating academic projects.

Thank you to everyone who has registered for The Soundview Gala 2022, a Walk-a-Thon (Soundview Style: actual walking is completely optional). This is the big event where we have the chance to meet our 2021-2022 budget goals (and it’s going to be great fun). This will be the first time in a long time that the entire Soundview family will be at a single event. Learn more HERE. There is still time to register. You won’t want to miss this party!

Here is some more important information:

  • Please enjoy a recording our Spring Concert HERE.

  • Next week is Teacher Appreciation Week. Here is a message from our Soundview Parent and Guardian Association:

    • On Tuesday, decorate your car for the pick-up car parade!

    • On Wednesday, bring two flowers to make a bouquet for your child’s teacher!

    • On Friday, plan to join your teachers for happy hour between 3:45 PM and 6:15 PM at Brigid's Bottle Shop in Edmonds, 188 Sunset Ave S, Edmonds

  • This week is the launch of the fifth-grade Exhibition project. You can see our students’ culminating projects and learn from fifth-graders on June 10, 2022 in our Performing Arts Center. Families and special friends are very welcome. The Exhibition is the Soundview School mission in action. Find out more from Mike MacCully at the link HERE.

  • Our International Baccalaureate (IB) Primary Years Program (early childhood through fifth-grade) is completing its authorization process with a virtual verification visit on May 12 and 13. This visit will include classroom observations and stakeholder meetings. Soundview joins just fourteen other schools in Washington state with the IB’s Primary Years Program.

  • ‘Declamations' is a middle school tradition, and it’s coming soon. This is a fully student-designed variety show. This year’s Declamations take place May 19 at 4:00 PM in the Performing Arts Center. Families and special friends are very welcome. Registration will be required. Sign-up form will be available soon.

Have a great weekend!
