Enjoy a Well-Deserved Winter Break & See You in the New Year!

Wishing our Soundview community a joyful and rejuvenating winter break! We look forward to welcoming everyone back on campus starting Tuesday, January 7th!

Dear Soundview Families,

Happy Winter Break! Reminder, Soundview School will be closed from December 23rd to January 6th. The offices will be closed through January 3rd. School resumes for students at the usual times on Tuesday, January 7th. Wishing you all a joyful holiday season!

Our Annual Campaign December Challenge is still going! Alumni parents and trustees Alison and Doug Suttles have stepped up with a December giving challenge. When Soundview reaches $20,000 by December 31st, the Suttles will match the total amount raised! So far we are just over $10,000 for the month of December. Every gift matters and contributes to the success of your student(s). You can do it!

The Annual Campaign plays a crucial role in directly funding the programs that provide your student(s) with the ethical, rigorous, and compassionate education that defines Soundview. This year, our goal is to raise $365,000, and we can’t achieve that without the collective support of our incredible community. While you can make a gift at any time throughout the school year, there’s no better opportunity than the end of the year to maximize your contribution and benefit from potential tax advantages. Your support helps ensure the continued success of the educational experience we offer our students.

Look for invitations in January to four virtual head of school transition information sessions hosted by Incoming Interim Head of School and current Assistant Head of School Chrissy Sinclair, Soundview trustees, and me. Our agenda will include getting-to-know Chrissy, head transition process, and time for you to share what you value most about Soundview and ask questions.

During our faculty and staff in-service today, staff dedicated time to practicing emergency preparedness protocols, reviewing safety plans, and participating in drills designed to address various scenarios that could arise on campus. By staying proactive and well-trained, we aim to provide a secure environment where our students, staff, and families can feel confident and supported every day.

If you missed last week’s letter with important January reminders and opportunities, you can catch up by viewing it HERE. We’ll have all the January information again in our email on Friday, January 3rd.

Ensure you never miss an update or event, stay connected and informed by subscribing to the Soundview Community Calendar HERE.

Wishing everyone a restful break and see you next year,

Chris
