The Soundview Gala 2022

A Walk-a-Thon, Soundview Style: actual walking is completely optional

Lynndale Park, Pavilion #1; 18927 72nd Ave W, Lynnwood, WA 98036

May 14, 2022, 10:00 AM through noon

Make a gift in any amount at www.soundview.org/make-a-gift to register your entire immediate family.

Soundview School is a 501(c)(3) non-profit. All gifts are tax-deductible to the extent permitted by law; EIN 91-1832492.

Wait a minute–what is a Walk-a-Thon Soundview Style? It means actual walking is completely optional. Read on.

It’s like this. We need to get together. All of us. Students, teachers, friends, grandparents, parents–all of us in one place to celebrate Soundview School. Saturday, May 14 is the day of our annual fundraising gala and we need everybody to support the event. We have reserved an outdoor pavilion at Lynndale Park. May 14 will be the very first time we have invited the entire Soundview Family to a single event in a very long time.

You won’t want to miss this opportunity.

The gala starts at 10:00 and ends at noon. Registration is required at www.soundview.org/make-a-gift. You will be registered when you make a gift in any amount. One gift will register your immediate family—any spouse and children.

Masks are optional. Find your comfort level. And best of all, you don’t even have to walk five miles to participate. After the coffee, doughnuts, and a few words from us thanking you for giving, it’s up to you.

Care for a miles-long walk through the wooded area with a friend you’ve been missing? It's there for you. Want to take your youngest kiddos over to the playground to enjoy the swings and slides, it’s just next door. Do you need a gentle slope with pavement under the trees to stroll with your elders? It’s ready. Would you just like to socialize with your friends and Soundview Family? This is the chance.

The point is this: we need to get together–all of us. We need a time to relax and reflect. We need a place to be together.

And you get a nifty hat when you register. Other schwag included.

We held our annual giving campaign in December to coincide with the deadline for tax deductible contributions at the end of 2021. The response was wonderful. We have an annual goal for 2021-2022 of $298,000 and the Soundview Challenge in December brought in $214,000. This was a huge win, but it did not get us over the top.

We must raise $84,000 by the end of this school year.

That amounts to just about $545 per student.

$545 per student is an achievable goal.

Let’s all come together May 14 to celebrate Soundview School. Let’s put this over the top.

Go to www.soundview.org/make-a-gift to make your gift and register for the gala now. One gift will register your immediate family–any spouse and children.

We hope to see you there.

Best wishes,

Chris
