As of Monday, April 18, 2022 masks will no longer be required indoors on the Soundview campus for adults or children

April 13, 2022

Dear Soundview Family,

Soundview’s goal is to keep our school a safe place for choice.

Soundview continues to follow the recommendations, requirements, and standards of our county and state health officials. Soundview’s response to the newest county and state health departments’ guidelines is that as of Monday, April 18, 2022 masks will no longer be required indoors on the Soundview campus for adults or children.

Students and faculty have the option to wear a mask, indoors or out, should that suit any individual’s comfort level.

Also starting April 18, 2022, we will begin to incorporate:

  • In-person individual and group meetings and events. All adults must show proof of up-to-date vaccination status

  • Flexible and collaborative seating arrangements in classrooms, as opposed to rows

  • More activities that connect classrooms across the school, as opposed to keeping to strict cohorts

  • No temperature checks by staff members at morning drop-off. We will continue to ask you to do at-home temperature checks and complete health attestation forms to assist in the school’s responsibilities for contact tracing, documentation, and case management.

As always, we will be communicating with students this week in preparation for the relaxation of indoor masking. Our goal is to keep Soundview safe for choice as appropriate.

We will continue to keep you informed.

Best,

Chris
